We are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join our growing team!
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the delivery of new business through existing client relationships but with a real drive on capturing new clients, developing further relationships, and identifying cross sector growth opportunities.
Part of the senior management team, you will be responsible for meeting sales revenues in line with targets set as well as supporting our growth strategy.

About you –
Education
You are well educated, preferably you have a Business Degree but it’s not essential
Experience
- You have been in a similar role for a while and have a minimum of 10 years’ experience within the Petrochemical, Energy, Brewing & Distillation sectors
- With proven ability to pro-actively increase sales and close deals, you are a strong negotiator and work well with customers and suppliers applying robust commercial acumen to maximise margins
- You have developed and implemented sales strategies in the past
- Building effective relationships internally and externally is instinctive for you

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plan, organise and manage all sales and business development activities
- Develop and maintain sales pipeline to deliver growth
- Identify and track new business opportunities in CRM system and ensure client contact lists are maintained
- Lead on all tender activity, liaising with technical team as appropriate and prepare quotes and proposals
- Responsible for customer introductions and ensuring client relationships are effectively managed and long-term partnerships drive sustainable business growth
- Develop “strategic sell” approach for growing existing accounts and key target accounts including pursuit plans
- Proactive gathering of intelligence, researching organisations and targets to identify new business opportunities
- Attend conferences, meetings, networking and industry events
- Contact potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
- Pitch products and services to prospective accounts
- Work closely with Marketing Partner to understand and align with marketing initiatives and client communications as well as ensure brand continuity
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations and sales tools as required
