TPMG is delighted to share that we recently welcomed our first apprentice, Lewis, setting him up with essential skills for a successful future pipeline and process career path.
Lewis began his apprenticeship in June as a junior pipe fitter welder. Shaun and Amie McNeish, our co-founders, were looking to introduce some local young talent in the Midlothian area and firmly believe that apprenticeships are a valuable way to cross-train new members to the team, alongside giving youngsters an opportunity to get involved with practical on the job learning.
Lewis will work towards welder qualifications during his time with TPMG to the EN 9606-1 standard. So far, he is performing exceptionally well, and currently undergoing important safety training procedures, including height and confined space processes.
We foresee this apprenticeship being highly beneficial for our business, as we strive to enhance productivity, effectively grow talent and develop a motivated, skilled, and qualified workforce.
Managing Director, Shaun said:
“Lewis stood out immediately. With his motivated attitude, he displayed a mature and enthusiastic approach. After completing a 12-week Army training programme, Lewis was ready to get stuck into the world of work and eager to learn and develop his skillset. We are delighted to support him on this journey.
At TPMG, one of our core values is that we invest in people.
Our extensive network of multi-skilled professionals supports integrated industrial projects of any scale across any sector. We are passionate about honing local multi-skilled professionals to deliver specialist disciplines, ensuring we always provide clients with world-class solutions, excellent trustworthy service, and exceptional project execution.
Lewis has proven to be a valuable asset to the team already, and we are excited for what more he is going to bring in the future!
